Marine Science and Dolphins Island Hopping Retreat

Join us for an amazing 12 day marine science expedition and retreat focused on dolphins in beautiful Bahamas.

Island hop through the Bahamas on this 12 day expedition to learn about the natural world of the Caribbean and encounter stunning marine wildlife.
Day 1: Introduction and safety snorkel, crossing to Bahamas
Day 2: Clear customs at Cat Cay, explore nearby and snorkel
Day 3: Reef snorkel south of Cat Cay in the morning. Afternoon stingray snorkel and feed at Honeymoon harbor before mooring for the night
Day 4: Snorkel around and through the amazing Sapona shipwreck in the morning, lunch and relaxation as we travel up to South Bimini, where there will be an optional snorkel at the Beach Club Reef or time to lounge on the beach
Day 5: Morning tour of Bimini Biological Field Station to learn about sharks and shark research; afternoon Caribbean reef shark snorkel at Triangle rocks south of Bimini; dinner out at the Beach Club
Day 6: Visit to North Bimini, people will have the opportunity to spend the day walking around and buying souvenirs; after lunch head out to look for dolphins (those only participating in first half of trip will be need to book flights out of Bimini).
Day 7: Dolphins and possible snorkel at North Rock or seagrass snorkel/swim at East Well depending on the weather and number of dolphin encounters
Day 8: Dolphins in the morning, after lunch move up to Hesperus wreck, sunset snorkel (potential to see mating sea turtles, bull sharks), (weather dependent)
Day 9: Morning snorkel at Hesperus, continue up to Great Isaac, sunset snorkel at Great Isaac and visit to the Island
Day 10-11: Make our way back south to Bimini, stopping to swim or snorkel with dolphins if the opportunity presents itself, anchoring for the night off Bimini, 
Day 12: Return crossing to Miami, breakfast on the Garvin and trip conclusion.



Price: $3500 per person or $2250 for first 6 days

Includes: All activities, transportation once participants arrive in Miami, and all housing and food costs (except for one "dinner out" at a local restaurant).
