Intro to Tropical Marine Research

This course includes visits to mangrove and seagrass habitats, lectures on coral reef biology and ecology (including reef snorkels and participation in a reef restoration project), instruction on tropical fish ecology and biology, including training in fish identification, and a hands-on shark tagging trip. 

​Each day of the course offers a combination of lectures on ecology, hands-on training, and participation in field data collection for ongoing research projects.

Price: $2200 per person
​
Includes: Research activities, transportation once participants arrive at R/V Garvin, and housing and food (except for one "dinner out" at a local restaurant).
