Biscayne National Parks Institute:
Tropical Marine Biology and Ecology

Experience Biscayne National Park as never before!

This course is an introduction to tropical marine biology and ecology in the ecosystems of Biscayne National Park. A wide breadth of topics and ecosystems are covered in an intensive 5-day course, including visits to and education about mangrove, coral reef, pelagic, and seagrass habitats, common species identification and natural history.

All courses take place aboard the Research Vessel Garvin, a fully US Coast Guard certified 55-foot custom liveaboard research vessel and are taught by credentialed and experienced field scientists and naturalists. For five days, participants will have unprecedented educational access to the marine ecosystems and incredible beauty of Biscayne National Park.
Price: $2000 per person

Includes: All activities and transportation once participants arrive at the RV Garvin, and all housing and food costs (except for one "dinner out" at a local restaurant).
